09/08/2025 Calm after the storm and before a slightly less big storm (wouldn't that just be rain...?)

Hey everyone!! Hope everything's alright. I've taken some time to write another blogpost because I had pretty important stuff to finish by the end of last month (and I'll be honest that it took me a while...), but at the moment I've managed to finish anything I would consider to be "extremely important". This doesn't mean I'm taking it easy or anything, because I'm trying to tackle other things to not waste my time on nothing, but it does mean I don't have to worry about time limits (for now probably (- -;;)). I'll explain what I've been doing these past few days!
Anthology of the Killer review:

You probably have already seen it, but I've finished my Anthology of the Killer review!! It took me a while to do it, but I'm happy that I finally finished it. I hope I have managed to explain the game well and explain how I feel about it, because I'm going to be honest that sometimes I feel my writing is somewhat nonsensical and like, I kinda want people to understand what I'm saying and I felt a little unsure about the review a few times. I'm pretty sure I rewrote some parts that didn't went online, but I still felt a little worried at the end, but my mom told me it's understandable (the text, that is) and I shouldn't worry.
A few weeks ago I've noticed the last screenshots seemed to overlap the last bit of text on different monitors. I saw that when I was at the course, because we use different computers there and I sometimes check it out to look it is. Today, the fourth of august, 2025, I tried to fix this issue. I'm not sure if it works, as I have yet to see it on another monitor, but I hope I've manage to solve the problem even if it has been done rather slopply. I'll probably know the answer as I write this, but tell me how's it looking for you on my neocities account, please! I think that would help (I think)!!
(fifth of august, 2025. It seems that my fix for the image overlap is working on other computers! If it's out of the box for you, zoom until the images are in the box. If they still overlap the text for you, well, I'm not sure what to do, but do tell me, please)
Programming videogames:
I've started dabbling on gamemaker latelly. Ever since the drama surrounding Pirate Software happened (or is still happening, I haven't seen anything about it for a while), I got this feeling that I wanted to use gamemaker, probably to prove myself that I can use the program. I started reading the manual, because if I wanna do this proprelly, I should read it first (and probably always have it on hand) just so I don't make something that might bite me in the ass later on. I'm just doing some tutorials that gamemaker already has, but I think I'll try to put everything into practice on a small project later.
Programming there isn't as different as programming a website or at least I think so. It's still pretty different, of course, but while going on the tutorials I managed to somewhat understand what I should do. I suppose working on something similar really helps on getting around!
The Hobbit:

I started reading The Hobbit!!
A few weeks ago, I was listening to Majuular's Ultima retrospective. I found the history behind the games really interesting, considering how I wasn't alive during this period of the gaming market and seeing the evolution of the games is pretty cool. I'll probably play one of them someday, but I sorta have other games on my backlog already, so that will have to wait. What grabbed my attention was the fact that Richard Garriott was inspired by DnD and Tolkien's books. I never really played DnD and consediring it requires other people I think that won't happen anytime soon, but I took coriosity on Tolkien's books as I never actually read them (but I can do it on my own). I remember consuming a little bit of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, but that was because my father liked the movies (I played that one Lego Hobbit game too, I remember that one), but to be honest, I don't remember much.
I already got the book and I'm reading it at the moment. I'm still on the first chapter, but I'm sure I'll finish this one! I really liked the writing and it's I remember a little bit of the beggining, so I like imagining the scenes with the descriptions given of the place, characters, etc. Maybe this will be a good inspiration in the future or at least a good read. I'll be sure to make a review when I finish it up.
It's now the ninth of august, 2025 as I'm writing this. I was pondering on maybe adding more topics or whatnot, but I've decided agaist it for now. I'll most certainly write a short blogpost next week, just to say I'll go on a short vacation the week after that, so I'll probably have time to think a little more. I'm writing this during 2 am, so I'm not feeling my best. Dunno if other people get it, but I kinda get a little gloomy when no one is around. I like to be by myself, yes, but idk, I guess I just have more time to think by myself. "An empty mind is the devil's workshop" or so I have heard.
Anyway, I hope everyone's doing alright. Times are tough now, but I hope y'all are being able to withstand any damage, be it physical or psychological. I'm aware my words don't mean much as I'm just a fool on the internet for many, but I hope may be meaninful to someone, even if a little.
Well, see ya next time!
