02/06/2024 After technical difficulties, let's relax a little, shall we?
Heyheyhey, how is everyone doing? I hope it's fine, but if that's not the case, remember it's ok to let the emotions out, ok?
So, I've been occupied by a few things between these past months. Sort of a lot of separated stuff just, y'know, stacked on top of eachother, like a freaking Megazord!!!
Anyway, I want to talk about everything I can remember from these days I've been brainstorming. So, let's go to the chase...!
The End of The Art Gallery:
Finally...finally.....the is art gallery is REAL. Uh-huh, you heard me IT'S REAL AND IT'S HERE!!!!!!! Yup, your eyes aren't deceiving you right now! You can see it right now!!
LoL Ok sorry I'm just a little excited by making all of this work. I've been working on this for almost half year, so getting to finish it is awesome!!
Truth be told I probably had some difficulties because I never touched javascript in my life before this. I even had to completly scrap a entire page and redo it. I'm honestly not even sure what I did different this time, I was just messing with the code and it sorta just worked. Now, saying like that it might make me look lazy, but I swear I don't know, but you know what I know? I ain't going to bicker with the code when it decides to cooperate. Thank you code! Hopefully that won't create a huge problem to us in the future... Please?
Rebuild of The Projects:
Now you might ask "Whatcha doing next then?" and my answer is:.... I dunno actually. Actually no, I think I do, but I certainly won't do it right now after writing this. What's next in my mental notes are making shrines. I like how a lot of other websites do it, and while each page sillyfes has a theme, I think having pages talking about a very specific things I love is cool, honestly. Like, I love Chi's Sweet Home so much to the point that I had the idea to make a whole fan site. Honestly, the one of the few things stopping me is that I don't have all the volumes and such, but hell, maybe I am gonna make a chi's sweet home fansite, with a whole fan club and cool stuff to look at.
Sorry, I got side tracked a little LoL, well yeah I think The very next thing might be shrines, no doubt!
Yume 2kki in YNO: The Search of Innocent Dream
If y'all have take a look at the links page, you probably saw the Yume Nikki Online link. If you don't know what YNO is, well, it's pretty much making Yume Nikki (and some fangames) the very next Club Penguin (or Habbo Hotel or something similar). Basically, it's a Yume Nikki MMO.
Anyway, the important thing is, I was playing Yume 2kki at the night of April 19th, just wandering around, trying to find something to do or where to go. So, I was looking at the global chat and besides seeing people discuss some... actually I can't remember, but subjects there changes on a whim anyway. The important part is: I saw someone asking about a place called "Innocent Dream". Can't remember how that subject began or why, but I do remember them talking about it like it's some urban legend that the devs (and the people of the wiki) doesn't want you to find.
Because of that, I was intrigued. "You're telling me there is a secret map?" So I decided to find Innocent Dream myself.
I've spent, like, 30 minutes trying to find the tricolor room in Urotski's dream aparment.... only to find out the wiki I was using was (drumrollllllllllllllll) OUTDATED!!! Ok, crap. What do I do? I went to a diffent wiki and followed it's steps. I went to Red Lily Lake, and while on my adventure, I've found two people who, at the moment, I had no idea they would be the light at the end of the tunnel for my journey. I'll call them Ice and Zoru. They were trying to find another place, which I can't remember what the name was, but I think it was on the expedition list at that time. They were trying the find the same teleport I was looking for, so we decided to stick together. Eventually we discovered we needed to interact with one of the trees show in the map while using the child effect. To my surprise, we went the same direction while going around Candy World, but when we reached Constellation World, we told eachother "bye" and we gona different ways. I went to the place marked on the map and thought "Innocent Dream... Here I go" andddddddddd I just found some constellations. Crap. I did something wrong didn't I?
So, I discovered I needed to interact with four different music notes. Where are those notes? So haha guess eheheahha what? The wiki I was using just decided to. not. tell. me. They just left some tips that didn't help me at all. Great, just great, what do I do? So while standing around, Ice and Zoru asked me "how was the search going?" (they were in the same world I was), so I went to where they were and explained my situation. Then they decided to help me out!
We were already friends in the game by that point, so Ice and Zoru decided to look at the wiki to help me out. They encountered the same problems as me: Outdated wikis and confusing directions. We went up, down, and everywhere else to understand what to do!! I even had to search for some effects I didn't have at the time. We added eachother on discord and just talked over there just so it would be easier to talk with eachother (I need to remind the global chat was still going while we were talking with eachother). We had to redo the steps we did. We even thought the triggers were BROKEN! That, at that point, we were fighting a losing battle.
There we were, April 20th, at the dawn. We were at the breaking point. We just needed to cross one star bridge. The catch was: The bridge had a trigger on it's path, that teleport the player back to where they were, in a way that it's almost impossible to noticed. Yes, we discovered the the Endless Stairs of 2kki. So we were all using the penguin effect, sliding around, trying to pass the invisible trigger. Ice and Zoru stoped along the way to check if screwed something up, but I continued holding z down until.... I reached the end of the bridge
When I told them "I'm here", they went "WHAT". It was a fantastic moment.
I waited for them to appear and once they did, We started to interact with the notes and... We were there!! We reached innocent dream!! HEACK YEAJH!!! WE DID IT GUYS. We were estatic. We spent at least, what, two hours trying to enter that thing. Finally our journey was over... Until some chaser captured us and sent us to another place LoL. I can't remember what the name of the place in question was, I think it was one part of tricolor room, but the important thing was, we did it. We even took a commemorative picture!!!!!!
(I am the Uro on the left, Ice is the one in the middle and Zoru is on the right. Say "fuzzy pickles"!!!!)
Ice, Zoru, if you two are reading this, I really want to thank you two. I know I already said that at the time, but without you, I couldn't even reach the first note LoL. You guys were really nice to me, even thought I was a stranger to you two. I know we didn't talk much, but I hope we can play some more. Thank you for everything.
I wanted to do a guide for this, but I'm gonna be honest, I can't remember a few of the important steps we took, and the amount of outdated information doesn't help either. Aparently one of the wikis state innocent Dream has been replaced for a place called Innocent Library?????? What weirds me out is, I don't think that page has been added at least.... December 8, 2022. I dunno, maybe we actually went to Innocent Library, but since that place has similar stuff to Innocent Dream (including for replacing it), we didn't knew that. So I am going to leave a guide that Ice sent on our discord group. Good Luck (and go play YNO, it's fun!!)!!!!!
Puyo Puyo Fever 2:
So, uh, I've decided to buy Puyo Puyo Fever 2 of ebay. I'm getting the ds version since, well, I have a 3DS. Hopefully it comes home at this month! It's exciting to know I'll have an actual japanese copy of a ds game, especially of a series I love!
Also screw you brazilian Postal Office! Those custom duties of yours only exist to steal people's money.
Gregory Horror Show:
I once saw this video about a horro game called "Gregory Horro Show"(the has the subtitle "Soul Collector" in Japan).
In the game, you're tasked to steal the souls of Gregory's guests, so I'll have the chance to reincarnate. It's kind of a survival horror game with this cartoony look, which totally is my cup of tea! Then, in the video, the guy talked about how this is based on a "cgi anime", which intrigued me.
I searched about it and I found a whole playlist with all the episodes! As of writing this section, I've watched up to the 15th episode of season one and honestly, I loved it! It's so weird and the art direction is pretty nice! I love how the characters look.
The story is way different from the game, at least in season one, but I can't promise anything. The story so far is: A family man mysteriously encounters himself infront of Gregory's house, even though he thought he was going back home, but since it's already late at night, he enters it. Throughout the episodes, the protagonist faces bizarre situations and eccentric guests, all the while Gregory is planning to.... use him for dinner!
As you might have already notice, I really liked the anime as well! It's something I would have loved to watch on dvd as a kid! You should go watch it!!
DEDEDEDE MOVIE!!!!!:
If you read my first blogpost, you might remember that I love Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction aka DEDEDEDE!!!!!!!! It's pretty cool, you should totally read it! Anyway, it was announced some time ago that two DEDEDEDE movies were being made, with the first one coming to the theathers last month. So when I remembered this, I went to do a little search and YEAH the movie exists!
The thing is, the movie is being distribute outside of Japan as a series, with new scenes added as well. Not sure how good or bad that is, since the Sandland movie did the same thing, but eh, at least we are watching a more complete version, so I won't complain. The kicker for me really is that the only place it is on is Crunchyroll. I don't have nothing agaist, after all I don't know nothing about them, like, at all, but having to pay another subscription service just to watch one single thing doesn't sound good to me. If you already have Crunchyroll, then I dunno go watch it and see if you'll like. I'll probably wait to more episodes to come out to consider what to do. At least I'm happy this could introduce more people to the manga and, well, maybe touch the heart of more people.
Margin of the Strange:
At two weeks ago, NightMargin, one of the creators of OneShot, announced that they would reveal a whole new project to the public and as a Oneshot fan, I was pretty happy. I went to see the livestream and I was wondering what the next project could be.
So, the stream started and we watched a teaser. The new project is called "Margin of the Strange" and I was kinda confused what it was about, then I noticed there was a link to a website! From my understanding, Margin of the Strange is a mistery game with gardening mechanics. The protagonist, Ling, seems to be in some sort of "dream world", with Moth people and ecosytem and such. The website also hints that Ling is dead. I mean, that's how I interpret it.
What blew my mind is the fact that this project, or at least parts of it's idea, has been around since 2011???? I watched this 2015 video, which is supposed to be the trailer for a "webcomic/motion comic/visual novel/sound novel series". Then I saw this 2012 video. Not only it has "Margin" written at the bottom left, the character in the picture looks like Ling (It can be him, but almost 12 years of difference, it could very well be a totally different character) and the description mentions "another track for Margin, my upcoming webcomic!". And then I saw this one and this one and this one??? I'm not 100% sure, but there is a possibility that any the videos that weren't based on another game, it was for Margin. This project has been in the works for possibly 13 years now. Hell, maybe even more!
Knowing all of this made me pretty interested in the game, especially because now I had more of an idea of what it was about.
The team has already reached their goal on kickstarter and they even put some stretch goals as well!
So yeah, looks like a cool game!
Also they released a trailer and it looks sooooooo good!!!
OK! I can't think oof anything else I wanted to talk about. It has been kinda stressful while working on the art gallery, especially because I had to focus on other stuff as well, but getting to finish it and just write stuff is pretty relaxing! The last thing I wanted to do is to recommend a song I found a few days ago. It's called The Legendary Theme from the game Gitaroo Man. It sorta gives me a lot of emotions that I can't explain it clearly, but it is beautiful, that's for sure!
So, thanks for coming by and read my rablings once again (and thanks for anyone who is reading a blogpost for the first time too!) and Happy Pride Month to everyone! Remember that you are awesome for being you and no one should tell you otherwise!
