24/06/2026 I was going to make a summer joke, but apparently it's winter in Brazil now (the only difference is it rains sometimes)
Heeeey!! Hiii!!! Yello!!
Why, hello there! It has been a while since I've made an blogpost!! Thankfully I've managed to update this site every now and then, so it isn't as much of a problem, right??
Anyway, I know this is kinda late already, but happy Pride Month for everyone, as well as a rather late Juneteenth! I'm always late for the party for special days, but I hope that whomever is reading this is having a good day. With the things that are happening throughout the world, it's certainly been more difficult for everyone in the LGBTQIAP+ and in the black community to, well, just live their lifes. It always has been this way, yes, but I do feel that recently things have become more brutal, be it whichever place you're from. I know it isn't much, but I wish whomever from these communities (and also reading this right now) are welcome in Sillyfes and also have my full support. Everyone should be allowed to live like any other person, and I hope that my actions, as well as the actions of everyone I've met until now, can help in some to change our future to the better. It may take a while, yes. Unfortunally our history has been built up by bigotry, by people that wanted to be viewed as "better" than others. However, history also has had it's moments where the opressed fought the opressed, where our lives have progressed by people that had everything agaist them. My old history teacher has told me that "The human being is a being that loves war. That no matter what, we will die by the hands of our own kind because they want power", and while I fully understand what he told me, I still want to believe it's possible to make a brighter future. My mentality might be seen as "juvenile" or "unrealistic", but to me, as long as I'm able to make this future true, even after years of my death, I will feel like i've truly done something worthy while being alive. That's why, whomever you're, you're much important to be celebrated even for a day, a week or a month. You're a important person for being alive today, and I hope you will also be able to realize your dreams. For a better future for everyone.
I also would like to talk about a few things that have happened in these past few days, so let's get to it!
College:
That's right! I'm actually doing college right now, just like my friends. Although different from them, I'm doing it online (but I'll need to do the tests in person anyway, so I'll still see the place).
I'm studying for game making, as usual, but the very first modules seem to focus more on the process of how the internet and it's different files works, how it's sent to other devices, how it's stored and the likes. Honestly, I'm unsure how this could help me with making videogames, but I suppose that learning more about something I always interact with is always welcome, even if a tad boring at times. Of course, from what I looked, the later modules seem to be more related to the topic and this thing is supposed to go on for around over two years, so I'm confident I can learn much more from it.
I'm sure am making a bunch of notes, tho. I'm doing so in an actual notebook just like the school days as it will stick in my head easier, but my hand hurts sometimes from it (don't worry, I'm always exercising, especially for my hands and arms, so I'm certainly not getting rusty)!!
In anyway, I sure do hope this is will be worth it.

Games Presentations:
Throughout this month there has been a bunch of new video games being show. I'm not really the person that manages to buy a recent game on time, but I think it's neat to know what is in store in the future, especially if it's something I'm actually looking forward to. So I'll talk about the ones I'm interested at the most, alright?
> Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World (aka Dragon Quest Monsters 4):

I think this has started after I got to know the Megaten franchise more, but I looooooooove monster tamer games!! Training your creatures and having lots of them is pretty fun, and when you have a fun system, like Digimon's Evolution Branchs in every Digimon game or SMT's fusion system, I just get more into it! Dragon Quest Monsters isn't much different! I'm not going to act like I know the series like the back of my hand, but frankly I've played a little bit of DQM1's 3DS remake (before my memory card killed itself) and I've been playing The Dark Prince as well and honestly, I think it's pretty fun!! I think the system that teach your monsters new moves are pretty fun and it also having a fusion system is really cool!
Honestly, from what it was show so far, DQM4 looks pretty good! I have to admit that even though I'm liking DQM3 (aka The Dark Prince), I do have to say it feels "cheap", in a feel ways. However, DQM4's presentation looks really polished in my opinion! The new camera angle also looks neat and frankly having your monsters follow you is such a great detail. Like, I know that the last part isn't necessary, but honestly I do think it adds to the experience a little bit.
The game is also connected with Dragon Quest V, a game in the series that I unfortunally haven't touched yet, but I do plan to, just like the other games, but since the Dragon Quest Monsters whole concept came from DQV's whole recruitment system, it does feel like the series went full circle! Also, the main characters are girls this time! I know that they are just younger versions of Bianca and Nera, but even then I think it's pretty interesting as I'm pretty sure this will be the first time the main hero ins't a boy, even as a option. Love seeing some variety like this and frankly I would be happy if they did this more often as I feel having more options to someone express themselfs in a roleplaying game is a good move.
The only thing that sucks chunks is that this game will be expensive!! It's on preoder and damn! This shit is almost R$ 300 (almost 60 american dollars) and over R$ 400 with DLC (almost 80 american dollars)?? Bleh!!! The bad part of liking games from big publishers like Square Enix is that they always pull shit like this and nothing fucking happens. Like damn, I love DQ and I like DQM, but it shouldn't cost that much!! Hell, no game should cost THAT much!! Also day 1 DLC is scummy as shit, not gonna lie, but from what I've seen they're so "whatever" that I can live confortably without them , which y'know, is a good thing in my book, but certainly brings into question why the hell those are DLCs in the first place. In anyway, it will certainly take a while for me to get this one after it releases, unless I decide to use part of the money I'm saving for december on it, but idk, I think I should wait and see.
> Dragon Quest XII:

Since I'm talking a lot about Monsters, I might as well talk about mainline DQ. Well, DQXII has been officially show! Honestly, what a big surprise! I was half expecting it would appear one day or another since the HD2D games did managed to come out, but still, really nice surprise. Apparently the original idea of it being "darker" has been scrapped for something that felt "more like DQ" and honestly I do not really mind that. I mean, I suppose if they weren't confident on the og draft, it makes me wonder if it would be all that, y'know? Not that I can speculate a lot since we never saw any footage of the original idea of XII, but idk I like thinking of "what ifs" in these sort of scenarious. Personally, I think the game looks nice! I can't say much, but running around honestly looks pretty fun LoL. I'm also rather fond of the designs. These are, without a doubt, the last Toriyama designs for a mainline Dragon Quest, and like, some people think it looks kinda weird, but I do fuck with it. Like, the main hero looks unique enough from any other hero and I suppose I think he looks interesting because of that. Also, the plot of dreams sounds interesting as well, and if the theories become true, the main character changing to a "lizard form" in these dreams sounds really cool. I specially think it's fun in RPGs when party members aren't just human or that look really close to one, so maybe being able to play (or even having in your party) a character that looks different enough seems pretty fun! When I finally make games, I'll certainly keep these sort of things in mind as I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks that way.
Well, there isn't any release date or anything for us to expect, but since they've showed actual gameplay footage, I do hope it means it's a little more futher along in development.
> Hiveswap Act 3:

You certainly have already noticed that I like Homestuck, but I dunno if a lot of people know I'm a huge Hiveswap guy (I mean, only main Hiveswap stuff, I do not really care for Friednsim, soooooorry)!! Seeing the possibility that Act 3 will actually release and we have actual footage of it and actual screen shots and also an actual demo is CRAZy to me, like am I dreaming?? If I pinch myself right now I'm not going to wake up from bed, am I????
I'm curious to see what this next act brings to the table. I think wasn't as "annoying" as others seem to think, but I'm not gonna lie, it certainly had it's flaws and if you saw the trailers you can get that some things were cut or changed around. So, I hope the wait for Act 3 is due to the team actually doing their best than some kind of "development hell" situation. Personally, I would love if we had more unique Byers interactions like in act 1 (I know that in the grand scheme of things that would be kinda useless, but like, I had I lot of fun of trying to see those in the first one, so that's more me being a little selfish).
Some people are wondering if Xefros has died after the events of Act 2, considering we have no screen shot with him, only Joey and new characters, but like. They. They wouldn't just kill the second protag like that, right? The one that has a lot of opportunities to evolve as a character? They wouldn't do that, RIGHT???? Well, I should just wait and see, but I'm not gonna lie, I will be a little disappointed if this sorta thing does happen or we never se Xefros again. I shouldn't think it's a possibility though, but like, if you read enough Homestuck you can sorta realize that a lot of characters introduced and that look important can just be killed off like that and only use, like, less than half of those introduced and let me real with you, I do not want Xefros to be sidelined like that.
Anyway, I hope I'll enjoy it when it comes out!
> Deltarune Chapter 5:
Since I've just talked about something Homestuck related, I'll talk about some other thing related to it and that I enjoy very much!!
Sooooooooooooo, Deltarune tomorrow, right? Well, actually, at the time of writing this it's two days left until release, so maybe two tomorrows?? To be fair, who knows when this will be posted, hell, it could be posted even after it's release, so like, in that case it would be Deltarune yesterday?????
Anyway, that's not important, the important thing is thaat the fifth chapter of the hit videogame Deltarune is more real than you think! I'm really excited for it as 1. I wasn't really expecting it to release at this time and 2. The trailer hooked me up and it looks really fun. It will also be a free updated like how it was advertised when the game was released on steam and such, which is great to know I didn't misunderstand Toby at all!!
I could theorize here and there and everywhere, but I'm gonna be real with you: After chapter 3 and 4, I've made peace that whatever speculation I have in my head about any next chapter could not only be dead wrong but also probably not as satisfying as the actual final product. Some may disagree, but frankly I'll let Toby cook whatever he has in store for me and I'm certain that whether he makes an spaghetti with meatballs or a chocolate cake with strawberries on top, it will probably knock my socks off anyway!
Either way, I'm certainly curious how things will turn out!
> Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic - the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil (aka Touhou 6 remake):

This one was a huge surprise as it only appeared at the japanese Nintendo Direct! Well, yeah, Touhou 6 is getting a remake for newer PCs and being actually available to buy online and on current cosoles AND with official translations for English, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Russian, you name it (actually don't, it's not like it has all of the languages from the human history on it, but y'know, there is a lot, specially for Touhou)!!
I guess it could be seen as a little silly to be excited to a remake of a game that most people outside of japan probably just downloaded somewhere, but y'know, this is really huge for the series in my opinion! It isn't the first time Touhou will be release to consoles nor the first time it has been translated in a official capacity, but!! A mainline Touhou game being on consoles is huge!! and the amount of translation done has been done by fans of the series that have been fan translating since forever! Yes, this isn't just a Zun only effort. In fact, this seems to be only possible by the help of the community. There is also the fact that Touhou 6 was one of the games in the series that DIDN'T release on steam, probably due to losing the code or something similar, so seeing a remake from the ground up that still captures the feeling of the original is really great! Some of the art can be seen as kinda wonky, but let's be real, the Touhou 6 art has always looked a bit funky LoL!
Well, this one will also take some time to release, but I'm exacited for it. I'm certain I'll be happy to play this amazing group effort!
Besides this, I've also made some new friends these past few months! Both of them have know me due to this website, so maybe they are reading this right now! Hello there!!
I've also managed to play Battleblock Teather with my friend Geovane as well! Possibly the first time I've played something online with someone else. It was really fun and I hope we can do it some more times.
I would like to add that I'm still testing with krita and the new brushes and I think I'm doing pretty well so far. Honestly, I've got a little bit of an "artist block", but I think I've managed to circuvent it! Can't really show any examples as I don't really have something finished, yet! but I think I'm doing well. Also, I've thought that, since I had no luck with Bluesky and also have problems with Twitter (I have posted my newest drawing there and sometimes interact, but y'know, the ai thing still scares me and frankly I think I accidently nuked my account anyway), I should try some other social midia, one that, of course, seemed good for artists and doesn't want to throw us at the wall and stomp us to death. Well, I've thought that maybe I could get some luck with Newgrounds? Idk, looking more into it, it seems really "artist friendly" and it seems like a neat community. I'll probably try to give it a go after finishing some stuff over here and finishing more drawings as well, but I think it's more worth a shot and than anything else I've tried so far.
To end this, I would also like to share my ideas for the next updates here. Well, I think what I want to focus is: Finish the Chi's Sweet Home shrine and finish the Ib review. I think since Chi has been unfinished for far longer than the review, I will focus on it first. After finishing both of them, I think I'll focus on adding a new page here, the "collections" page, as I figured having a place were I can talk about the things I have in an organized manner is for the best, y'know?
Well, this is also I have for now! I might not update the blog as much, but I'll try my best to not only keep sillyfes up to date, but also to inform y'all of it and myself as well. Once again, I hope whomever is reading this is doing okay! See ya!!
Deltarune Chapter 5 has released just now that I'm finishing this blogpost!!
Go check it out!
