< Go Back!

10/01/2025 I'm back home

utyCloverSup

Hey y'all, I'm back from vacation!! Hope everyone had a great end of the year and let's hope this year will be a good one.
Gonna be honest I'm missing Curitiba a bunch since I came back home. Maybe it's because we stayed for a little longer than last time, but when we entered home, I felt like it was sorta... empty. Even though nothing changed, everything was where we left them, but even then I'm missing something... I miss my grandma and I miss walking around no problem everywhere and how everything was kind of cold and all. Ugh, it's sorta confusing. In anyway, I'll do my best this year as well.

What I saw

My mom and I walked around a lot in the past few days. At first it was to get christmas gifts for people and then we went on tourism places, like parks and a lights show as well. All of them were really pretty, although when we took a tourism bus it was hot as hell to the point we were feeling sick. Mix that with the lines of people that were with us, we decided to leave it and go to my grandma's. Overall, I think Curitiba is a pretty place, although it has the same problems as where I live and probably anywhere else too. Except navigation, there are parts that don't seem to favor cars that much and even then it seems there's a lot of transportation options.

Gifts and purchases

I've got some gifts from family members and friends, and I also got some things for myself, so I will show them! The only thing I won't show is the chocolate I got 'cause.... I've ate it all ( n_n;;)

> Spongebob Plush

bobespoja

This is a Spongebob plush my mom bought while I was looking for her gift. While it was wraped it looked like a box, so I had no idea it was a plush, so yeah, she got me!
I really like him! He is, like, as comfortable as a pillow and I think I would've played with him a lot as a kid (I was the type of kid that really loved the first movie. Spongebob probably was my favorite Nickelodeon, along side Fairly Oddparents).
Also, quickside note, but did you know that the brazilian va for Spongebob is also the exactly same for Goku from Dragon Ball, Sanji from One Piece and Agent Stone from the Sonic movies?? Trust me if I kept it going there would be more surprises, which is probably to be expected for voice actors, but it's still really cool facts.

> Bleach Remix volume 02

bleach02

I got the first volume of Bleach remix from my father's girlfriend, but I already had it so I changed it at the bookstore for the second volume.
Gonna be honest I don't have a strong opinion on Bleach. I never saw the anime and this release is my first contact with it. The most common things I've heard about were: 1. Ichigo has a cool sword and 2. it's kinda meh, but I decided to give it a shot since I've heard it has a pretty cool power system. I'm still pretty much at the beggining of the story (at least that's what I assume, because I've seen it has over 10 volumes AND probably more than that), but I've liked the story so far. With so little chapters I already enjoy Ichigo's character and I can see some others that I will enjoy as well. Not big fan of the plush thing tho (I forgot his name, he is Kon LoL) and I'm sure if you know the work, then you might know why. I don't get why some mangas and animes have this common trope of having a pervert character to be the comic relief... or like, have a pervert character at all. I think one half might be because of a different culture and the other one might be because it was used before, so it sorta just stuck around, but even with that I don't enjoy it one bit. Still, I'm not gonna let that ruin my enjoyment with the work. I feel it has something worth saying and frankly I want to know or understand what it is.

> Pac-man World Re-pac

pacmanworldrepac

My mom wanted to give me a proper birthday gift to me, so she said I could choose one of the games that were in the bookstore. It didn't had a lot of variety, but I decided to pick this one!
I never played a lot of Pac-man while growing up. To be honest the most I've interacted with the franchise was watching the Ghostly Adventures LoL but even then sometimes watched gameplays of boomers playing the original Pac-man World on the ps1 and I honestly thought it looked pretty cool! Like, idk why but I thought it looked really fun to play as Pac-Man. He could run, bounce like a ball, and do some plataforming as well! I know that I could just play the original on a emulator since I understand that type of shit better now (and I have my own computer to mess with), but having a copy of the remake is great, to be honest (physical videogames are just awesome in general). Maybe it isn't a perfect remake, or maybe it might lack a bit of the magic I saw on the ps1, but I like that I have it and I can enjoy it nonetheless.

> Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon

prettyguardiansailormoon

My brother got me this one for my birthday!
I read Code Name Sailor V as a kid, but I never saw/read Sailor Moon. For some reason I never saw any copies anywhere, even thought it's being advertised in the Sailor V I have (and even getting the second volume for Sailor V took forever), but I guess they're making a reprint now or a special edition (which seem to be pretty common too, like, the most recent releases of Bleach, Soul Eater, the Evangelion manga, Shaman King and probably way more too), so I can finally experience it (at least in manga)!! Considering that Sailor V is a prequel, I'm already preparred!!!

> Incidents in the Night

incidentesdanoite

I found this comic in a bookstore and I was hooked by the premise. It's about the hidden bookstores in France and it aims to reveal how they're related with some crazy stuff like Napoleon Bonaparte (I mean, that isn't CRAZY but you wouldn't think it fits, right?). I'm not fully sure if it's fiction or not, but I'll begin reading it after finishing all of this here. Normally these sort of books that I never heard about end up being one of my top favorites, so I'm positive this will be a nice read!!

> I Hate Fairyland Volume 1: "Madly Ever After"

FluffFairyland

I Hate Fairyland, localized as "Eu Odeio Contos de Fadas"(literally "I Hate Fairytales"), is a comic I saw in a book biennial event, and to be honest I wasn't that sure about it, so I decided to leave it there and look for other stuff (some books/comics were pretty expensive too, so I wanted to be careful, y'know). Until I saw a video about it's sequel/reboot(????)/continuation (it's literally just named the same thing, so it's hard to classify it as more content of the original or sequel of sorts). In short, I learned the sequel is pretty sloopy, but that's when I remembered the original one has a brazilian translation, so I decided I should check it out. Took me a while, but I finally got it while on vacation and let me tell you it was kinda hard to get it there! Somehow every single copy of volume 1 run out, except of one specific bookstore, which also had one copy!! As you can see I got it, but wow I didn't knew it was this popular over here (or maybe it isn't and the bookstores just never bordered ordering new copies, but I prefer to think otherwise)!

> Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

IHaveToKILLCHAOS

I remember when Stranger of Paradise (sick name btw) was first revealed and seeing a lot of people not really having much faith on it. Time passed and the only one who I ever seen talking about it after it's release was (and it still is) ThorHighHeels and frankly, it left me open to try it out someday, so it was pretty amazing seeing in it's plastic glory!! I mean, I didn't want to play it because of Thor, but I wanted to play it because I felt it sounds pretty interesting (and to be honest it still looks like a fun game to play too).
One thing I didn't knew before is that you can play it online with other people, but since I don't have PSN I really hope it doesn't force me to grind for items and whatnot, or hell I hope I don't have to grind for levels!! I mean, it has a story, so I'm sure it isn't the focus, it's just to have fun with friends instead of bots.... right? (I have nothing agaist online games, I just fear they would mess things up to force people to use it and as someone who is pretty nervous playing online, I sure hope it doesn't do that!)

> Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity

cartuchotela

I really like how the Mystery Dungeon series plays, so I was pretty happy seeing this one in the wild. In truth, I only played one Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game, the first one, but I didn't went that far, so technically speaking this is my first PMD game, at least physically. I also have an emotional attachment to Gates to Infinity for the sole reason of watching a let's play of it when I was little, but since I don't remember anything it really isn't a problem!
I've already played the game a bit while on vacation. I'm probably still pretty much on the beggining, because I'm still learning some mechanics such as the V-Weather. From what I've seen some people ain't fond of GtI as much as the Explorer games and even Rescue Team, but idk I'm liking the story so far. Althought I do agree not having a quiz at the start is odd, and hunger only existing in a few dungeons is also pretty weird, but I think the move level up system might be a huge help. Also using moves aren't that scary? Maybe that's normal for the PMD games, but I think the game refelling your PP when entering specific floors is pretty helpful and just makes me want to use!
Also I got GtI pretty cheap and the seller said it was like that because "it didn't had the box, otherwise he would've make it more expensive, because it's Pokémon" and honestly that's fair, but huh good thing whomever sold this one to him didn't gave him the box.

> MadWorld

thewiiisntfamilyfriendlyanymore

I almost forgot this one LoL!! Gonna be honest I don't know much about MadWorld, besides that is one of the few M rated games on the Wii. I still enjoy I have it in my collection now! I mean, I don't think it's rare or anything, but it does stand out! Besides, it was made by PlatinumGames, which I've heard before because of The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta, and thought I haven't experienced them yet, I've heard good things about it. Also the art direction looks pretty awesome! It's all black and white, like a comic book, but they keep the blood as this vivid red!

Well, this is everything new that I remember! Pretty excited for what I can do this year! I think what I should tackle at finishing this blogpost is: 1. Update my art gallery 2. Finish the Chi's Sweet Home shrine (I feel I'm pretty close to finishing it) and 3.Work more on the writings page. I'm sure some might be difficult, but I'm sure I can do it if I try!
Happy new year for everyone! Stay safe!
